Monday, October 01, 2007 | Tory backtracks on vote for religious school funds

John Tory is too post-modern for the entrenched medieval modernist Province of Ontario. Thanks for trying, John! You are a good man! Of course, the great question is, whatever is the government in the education business for? Governments should not run schools. Governments should defend borders, ensure peace and security and print a currency. Other than that, they should stay out of our faces. Schools should all be run by mutually interested people as non-profit charitable organizations which charge a tuition and give charitable receipts. The return tax credit should cover the tuition. If Ontario were to work out such a system, we'd have the best schools and the best educated kids in the world.
