My consistory and congregation have very graciously granted me a six month sabbatical, January 1 to June 30, 2005. I've completed seven years of service to my present congregation, so it comes at a good time. Mainly I will use the time concentrating on the topics of hermeneutics and homiletics. I'll try to keep a bit of a log here as to what I've read and perhaps make a few observations.
