Trouble in Flatland

Here's is some very disturbing news out of our sister churches (GKv) in the Netherlands.
If it pops up in Dutch, click on "EN" for an English translation.
Rev. Wes Bredenhof has some more information about this at his blog, here.
In the 1960s and 70s we (Canadian Reformed Churches) took a pretty strong stand against the CRC for their hesitation to criticize their Dutch sister churches (the GKN-synodical) about issues such as homosexuality, women in office, the doctrine of the substitutionary atonement of Christ, doctrine of scripture. If we don't speak up now to our sister churches, the GKN-vrijgemaakt, our words of several decades ago will become retroactively vacuous. And let us pray for our Dutch sister churches, the ministers and professors, the elders, and all the brothers and sisters. They live in culture different from ours, but the Word is the same. May the Son of God preserve His church in the Netherlands and the whole world.
