Dad miffed WestJet policy fails again

Who puts five- and seven-year olds on planes to travel along? Assume your parental responsibilities and fly with your kids!

I imagine that obviously you would never do anything crazy like hire someone to babysit your kids for a few hours.

What's the real difference here?

The real differences is I know the babysitter that comes into my home, she is giving the kids her full attention all the time, and I'm just a phone call away. A child on a plane is sitting among total strangers and has, at best, the very divided attention of a flight attendant. My kids have yet to go lost being babysat in the home.
