Last night, the men of Jubilee Church went for a men's night out to the Diefenbunker just outside Ottawa. Next time you are in Ottawa, check it out. Click here and here. It is surreal.
After the tour, we watched a good old Cold War film, Dr. Strangelove (or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb), in the bowels of the bunker, four stories underground. Very funny.
We ended the evening by deconstructing the film, the bunker, Canadian history and politics, the Cold War, and much more, over a cool one at the Cheshire Cat.
